On Sunday June 28th, The Pine Valley Mill Business Center will host its first Customer Appreciation Day for all the businesses. This is in theme with my yearly Bark B-Q that we have always had at the Doggie Bag, just on a much larger scale. I will post the official invitation and send them out as well. There will be 3 bands performing, give aways, plenty of burgers, hot dogs, pizza and deserts, massages and many other activities being held in each business. I will be drawing 3 raffles for the Doggie Bag, 2 $1oo gift baskets and a 1 hour massage from Ann Marie of Caring Hands Massage in Milford. The event will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 rain or shine. Bring your lawn chair to enjoy the variety of family music and your appetite, mark your calenders and come for your chance to win some great prizes from the participating businesses!!!! See you there!

Now that all the nasty weather has past, we should try to pay extra special attention to the dogs and cats we love for fleas and ticks. The ticks are terrible this year and I am hearing more and more stories from owners that their dogs have tested positive for Lyme Disease. Please get your flean and tick products from your vets and make sure that they are up to date on their Lyme vaccination. Call me with any questions, lets start the summer off right by keeping the pests off!

Dara has been super busy this spring with all the dogs out playing in the mud and shedding their winter coat, making sure they’re beautiful and clean for you to enjoy at home.
But I’m not the only helping hand here! Dara is now open seven days a week for all your grooming needs! She’s taking appointments day and night to better fit your schedule and accomodate her clients. So never fear, she always has a spot for you!

A very nice day off it was for some local business owners on February 19th. June (JM Princewell), Sandy (Critical Eye), Elizabeth, Janet, Karen, Jessica, Nancy (Real Bodies) and myself had a wonderful time spending the day shopping and having tea at the Four Seasons in Boston. The day started out at the store with a white limo picking us up, a bottle or 2 of champagne, a short drive to Nancy’s new store in Amesbury, MA for some Real Bodies shopping and of course high tea later in the afternoon. The evening ended with the last shopping stop at JM Princewell for the final treasure purchases. The weather held out for us perfectly, temperature and sunshine wise. What a blast we all had. I could get used to having a driver like that. Stay in tune for future adventures at The Doggie Bag!

Hi everyone, this is one of our favorite sites, called Animal Attraction. It is another wonderful way to contribute to your favorite rescue organization. I added this picture of Maple, titled “Life is Ruff”, into their photo contest to try for the grand prize for our pick, the ASPCA, to donate to them

$250. Check her out on this great site and give her a 5 paws for being so darn cute. This is free to join, so if you decide to, make us your pal! Thanks for voting, Dara and Maple
Have fun.

Just a thought for everyone out there, I have been toying with a couple of ideas for the store and would love some feedback on your thoughts as customers.
#1. Opening up every other Monday and one Sunday a month. Any takers?
#2. How about self-serve bathing times? Maybe on the Sunday or Wednesday evening? I might be able to even swing and put aside a Saturday afternoon or morning to help everyone out with times? You can call and reserve the tub and dryer, I will have everything set for you like towels, shampoo, conditioner and a helping hand if needed. What would you feel to be a reasonable price and time frame for the reservation?
We are all in the same thoughts with the economy and I want to keep everyone happy and healthy. If you have any thoughts, please let me know, Dara
