Once again, a wonderful event was hosted at The Doggie Bag with the help of other business owners in The Pine Valley Mill. What a great move it was for me to relocate to this small community complex that has embraced my store and customers! It was a great pleasure to work with Sue and her girls at Salon 2000, Richard and Lesiel Clark (Clark Craftsman Homes and Claris Photography(provided all pictures as well)
Paul and Bob at Innovative Security, and Beth and John at School House Reps. We had three awesome preformances by local bands, food provided through Wilton House of Pizza and cooked by my brother Ben, massages for humans and their pets by Anne Marie of Caring Hands Massage, and excellent desserts and treats by Judy of EJs Bakery. Raffles from each business were given away at the end of the event to a number of lucky people. If you missed this years day, be sure to watch for it next year. We want to make this an annual event for all our treasured customers! Be sure to stay in touch with us for future events as well. I can think of a number of them that will be happening between now and Christmas.

June Customer Appreciation Day Event
On Sunday June 28th, The Pine Valley Mill Business Center will host its first Customer Appreciation Day for all the businesses. This is in theme with my yearly Bark B-Q that we have always had at the Doggie Bag, just on a much larger scale. I will post the official invitation and send them out as well. There will be 3 bands performing, give aways, plenty of burgers, hot dogs, pizza and deserts, massages and many other activities being held in each business. I will be drawing 3 raffles for the Doggie Bag, 2 $1oo gift baskets and a 1 hour massage from Ann Marie of Caring Hands Massage in Milford. The event will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 rain or shine. Bring your lawn chair to enjoy the variety of family music and your appetite, mark your calenders and come for your chance to win some great prizes from the participating businesses!!!! See you there!

Fleas and Ticks
Now that all the nasty weather has past, we should try to pay extra special attention to the dogs and cats we love for fleas and ticks. The ticks are terrible this year and I am hearing more and more stories from owners that their dogs have tested positive for Lyme Disease. Please get your flean and tick products from your vets and make sure that they are up to date on their Lyme vaccination. Call me with any questions, lets start the summer off right by keeping the pests off!

Hello there! Andrea here…helping Dara out with her busy schedule and keeping up with her blogs. Check out the Rich Bitch blog for where to find the newest fashions for you and your pups!
Dara has been super busy this spring with all the dogs out playing in the mud and shedding their winter coat, making sure they’re beautiful and clean for you to enjoy at home.
But I’m not the only helping hand here! Dara is now open seven days a week for all your grooming needs! She’s taking appointments day and night to better fit your schedule and accomodate her clients. So never fear, she always has a spot for you!

Grooming Workshop Part 2
What a amazing day the workshop turned out to be! The Animal Rescue League is a beautiful facility and has the best staff and volunteers I have ever met! We had roughly about 30 people turn up for the first event! I had the pleasure of a number of models: Ginger (a red golden/lab cross), Wiley (Bermese Mountain), Nacho (malti-poo), Anna (pekeachon), Tom (DSH cat), Daisy (lhasa), Toby (Sheltie) and Chocolate (lhasa). Best of all was a big DLH cat named Hercules that I got to spot shave for everyone to see. He is up for adoption. Herc has a wonderful temperment and was eating up being in the spotlight. I can just imagine sitting at home with him curled up in my lap! Thank you to everyone who helped make a wonderful afternoon event and to my wonderful models for their work.

Boston Tea Party
A very nice day off it was for some local business owners on February 19th. June (JM Princewell), Sandy (Critical Eye), Elizabeth, Janet, Karen, Jessica, Nancy (Real Bodies) and myself had a wonderful time spending the day shopping and having tea at the Four Seasons in Boston. The day started out at the store with a white limo picking us up, a bottle or 2 of champagne, a short drive to Nancy’s new store in Amesbury, MA for some Real Bodies shopping and of course high tea later in the afternoon. The evening ended with the last shopping stop at JM Princewell for the final treasure purchases. The weather held out for us perfectly, temperature and sunshine wise. What a blast we all had. I could get used to having a driver like that. Stay in tune for future adventures at The Doggie Bag!
